Senior Infants/Second Class Entry/Exit to school

Dear Parents/Guardians of Senior Infants/Second Class children,

A new one way system will start today for the entry and exit of Senior Infants/Second class children. All parents of these classes can drop off and collect their children by the small gate at the back of school near the entry door. This will mean that parents and children will have to walk around the long way to the small gate. The one way system means that that theses classes do not enter by the main gates and there is no through way access to the Village Centre and Early Start through the school after drop off /collection at the small gate.We really appreciate all cooperation as we know it is making your journey longer. This measure is to stop the spread of Covid 19 and to keep our community safe. Thanks very much.

First Communion Children

Dear parents of Frirst Communion children.

Please find below the link to a recorded message by Archbishop Dermot Farrell to the parents of children due to receive the sacraments of First Holy Communion and Confirmation this year. It expresses to them and to parish communities the broad approach which is being taken: there is no pressure to celebrate the sacraments by any given deadline; we should use this time of uncertainty to support families to nurture their children as they journey towards the sacraments whenever they can be safely celebrated; and we are creating supports and resources for parishes to draw on in their accompaniment of families.’

Welcome Back

Dear parents,

It was great to see everybody back to school. Thanks for all your cooperation. In order to keep the school open safely we need to put  the following measures in place. A face mask  must be worn at all times on the  school grounds. From tomorrow onwards we ask parents to drop their child at the gate nearest their child’s entrance door. Parents may need to make two drop offs if their children are in two different wings. We ask parents of Early Start children to enter by the main carpark. At collection times, parents will wait  for their child on their child’s class line in the school yard. Thanks very much

Message from the Deputy Chief Medical Officer

Dear parents,

Below is a message from the Deputy Chief medical officer to all our parents/guardians. He thanks you for all you have done to keep our communities safe and asks you do avoid congregating at the school gates over the coming weeks. This is to ensure that our children will get back to school and then stay back in school.
